本课程是为我校非英语专业硕士研究生开设的公共必修课，包括学术英语阅读和写作，在秋季和春季两个学期开设，共64学时，3学分。此课程旨在提高学生学术英语意识，提高其专业文献阅读能力的同时，着重培养学生的产出性能力，即科技论文写作能力以及用英语进行口头学术交流的能力。

杨莉：生于安徽，现为中国科学院大学外语系副教授，英国伯明翰大学访问学者，主要学科：英美文学。
教育及工作经历：
1990年9月-1994年7月安徽师范大学外语系英语教育专业，获学士学位
1994年7月-1998年7月中国科技大学外语系任教
1998年9月-2001年3月北京外国语大学英语系英美文学专业，获硕士学位
2001年3月至今 中国科学院大学外语系任教
2012年2月-2012年8月英国伯明翰大学访问学者
所教授科目：
英语A，英语B，英美文学选读，美国现代短篇小说赏析等。
彭宇，女，副教授，生于江西省吉安地区，1989年就读于江西师范大学外语系，大学毕业后，江西高校执教。2002年考入北京外国语大学英语学院翻译专业，毕业后在中国科学院大学教授英语课程。2013年9月-2014年3月在曼彻斯特大学访学。
