本课程是一门专业研讨课，以高级研讨为主，讲解讨论相结合。该课程一般由10-20名研究生组成，每节课由学生或学生小组以文献为基础，通过扩大范围的文献调研、ppt制作、口头报告、班级讨论和辩论，以对该文献和相关领域前沿问题深入了解，并培训研究生实验数据分析、研究思路辨析、指出研究工作不足之处的能力，为提高研究生的科研素养和知识面提供新的工具。授课老师介绍背景、进展和存在的挑战等，点评每节课的各位同学的表现。
