Venkatesh Raghavan，日本大阪市立大学创造都市研究科教授，数据库与多媒体系统部门负责人，现任国际开放地理信息基金会会长（Open Source Geospatial Foundation，OSGEO）、日本越南国际地球信息论坛召集人、International Journal of Geo-informatics杂志副主编。研究方向：3S技术开发与应用。开发了GRASS、MAPSERVER软件多语言国际化版本，在三维GIS建模、WEB GIS制图、以及GNSS数据处理与应用方面取得了高水平成果, 因其在开源空间信息技术领域的突出贡献，2012年被授予OSGEO国际组织的Sol Katz奖项。
