教学目的要求
This course offers an introduction to radiation semiconductor detectors which are mainly used for particle physcis, space science, and other related fields which involve radiation environment. Students will learn the basics of semiconductor material, silcon as the main device used as particle detector on the morden collider experiments, and finally introduce the wide-band gap semiconductor such as SiC used for future detector development.

课程教师信息
Prof. Shi got his PhD in particle physics from Cornell University in 2011. He is currently an Associate Professor of Physics at the Institute of High Energy Physics (IHEP), Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing. He has worked on the BESII, CLEO-c, and CMS experiments before joining ATLAS. He is the team leader of IHEP ATLAS Inner Tracker (ITk) Phase 2 upgrade project. He is also the team leader of RD50 in IHEP focusing on the SiC detector R&D for future collider experiments.
