本课程是为我校招收的各学科，各专业攻读硕士学位的研究生开设公共选修课。在我们英语A和英语B的教学过程中，我们发现在学生的口头表达中存在着很多的问题，其中基础发音还相当薄弱，以至于一些同学的英语根本无法听懂，更不用说用流畅、优美的英语表达思想了。因此本课程旨在纠正不良的发音习惯，为学生今后能练就标准，流畅的英语口语打下良好的语音基础。通过教授和练习，使学生对基础发音以及和发音相关的语音技巧有一个全面的了解和掌握。
